The Four Steps of the Moving Process:
Step 1: Planning and Organizing-Proper planning and organizing is the first step to a stress-free and successful move.
- Request a free estimate. An in-home estimate will provide you and the movers with information needed to make the best decisions for your situation and move.
- Familiarize yourself with your rights and responsibilities, mover liabilities, and customer expectations.
- Ask any questions you may have.
- Review and sign your estimate/order for service. Your estimated date of delivery will be included in your order for service.

✓ Professional Packing Services
Our experienced personnel are trained to handle and pack your belongings for their utmost protection. Choosing professional packing helps ensure your valuables will be secure and less likely to be damaged. In addition, professional packing is more efficient and results in fewer boxes and more savings. You'll save money in packing supplies and can save you storage costs should you need to store your belongings for any period of time.
✓ Crating Services
Specially designed containers and custom made wooden crates are utilized for articles of extraordinary value, such as paintings, certain antiques, and plasma televisions.
✓ Furniture Care
Wooden furniture pieces and appliances are wrapped in quilted moving pads to prevent scratches and other damage. Upholstered furniture is wrapped in ClearguardSM, a protective wrap.
✓ Self-Packing
If you choose to pack your belongings yourself, it is advised that you review information on how to properly pack items to ensure that they are not damaged during your move.
- After reviewing information on valuation options, and mover and customer liabilities, determine whether you want professional packing or self-packing.
- Review the list of items not allowed
- Speak with a Miller Brothers representative to select the packing options that meet your needs.
- Expect a confirmation phone call from Miller Brothers the day before your move.
- Your items will be inventoried and loaded onto a moving truck.
- Check that you relocate or move items of particular value or sentiment yourself. See some examples of such items.
- If you are moving to another state you can track your move through United Van Lines.
- Your driver will contact you, at least, 24 hours prior to the delivery date to confirm a delivery time.
- Please be at your new residence to meet the driver at your scheduled delivery time. Failing to do so may result in additional charges.
- Payment in full is due upon delivery. Cash, certified checks, and traveler's checks are acceptable forms of payment. Credit cards may be used, but must be arranged in advance, before delivery.
- Once your items are unloaded from the truck, the driver will request your signature on all delivery documents. In the event of any loss or damage, please note the items involved on the inventory form prior to signing.
- You can choose to have Miller Brothers unpack your boxes (items are not put away) and remove all debris for an additional fee.
- Drivers are required to assemble bed frames and unpack mattress cartons to setup all beds. If additional services are needed, please notify your agent.
